
Batteryloop, the Swedish second life battery specialist, within Stena Recycling have received orders of three new 2.8 MWh energy storage systems which all will use batteries from Mercedes-Benz Energy.
The company has agreed with energy storage provider Ingrid Capacity to install one system in the municipality of Karlshamn to perform peak-shaving and frequency regulation. Another system will be installed in the residential area Humlestaden which is developed by Ikano Bostad and Stena Fastigheters. The system will initially be used for frequency regulation. The third system will be used at Stena Recycling's Nordic recycling center in Halmstad.
