The German battery recycling startup Tozero has raised €3.5M in pre-seed funding in a round led by Atlantic Labs, out of Berlin, Germany. The company which is a spin-out from IME, RWTH Aachen University has developed a novel process for the recovery of battery materials from battery waste.
At this point the company has neither shared any details about its process, nor about its plan and business model more that a prototype plant will be build in Munich. The process is said to produce fresh battery-grade materials which should be delivered to battery producers.
