Guangdong Wentai New Energy to build 1 GWh battery repurposing and reycycling plant in Shunde, China

Guandong Wentai New Energy has got a go ahead from Foshan Ecological Environment Bureau to build a plant with capacity to build 1 GWh of battery packs from used batteries as well as pre-processing up to 8,500 tonnes of end-of-life batteries.


The plant will be located in Shunde and Wentain New Energy expect to invest 100M RMB ($13.8M) in both dismantling and shredding equipment. Primarily LFP batteries will be processed.


This is the first data we have on Guangdong Wentai New Energy and we have so far not been able to find more background on the company.
