The newly founded company Andrada Group plans to build a 10,000 tpa recycling plant for lithium-ion battery waste in north Hungary. The company was founded by several Slovenian investors which plan to invest €25million in the first phase. On top of that the Hungarian government will suport the project with 4.7 billion florints or about 12 million Euros.
The company has not disclosed what kind of technology that will be used but the size of the investment indicates rather a very ambitious pre-processing plant rather than a smaller hydrometallurgical plant.
The recycling facility will be based in Alsozcolci and will initially employ initially 70 persons. This can further increase to up to 200 people.
