Tai-Sen set up plant for cells from reused production scrap

The lithium-ion battery recycling company Tai-Sen which operates a material separation plant in Changsa in Hunan, is investing 250M Yuan (35.12 MUSD) in a manufacturing plant for cells based on reused production scrap. The plant, which is located in Anhua county in Hunan, will have an annual capacity of 7 million 32650 cells which equals between 110 and 250 MWh/year.

The company has been developing machinery to produce new cells with reused electrode sheets obtained from large battery manufacturers. The output is expected to generate revenue of 450M Yuan per year.
